The Federal Govt grant of $25,000 remains available to new home builders until the end of the year. The challenge is finding available land as excavation and site preparation work needs to begin within 3 months of signing a build contract. Theoretically, one could sign a build contract in December and not commence until March. It’s tight but this is a great incentive to enter the property market at a discounted price – at historically low interest rates. The other benefit for First Home Buyers is the $15,000 grant in addition to Homebuilder. This grant continues into the new year and will be a big help to First Home builders wishing to join us in Stage 2 of the Estate.
